Abstract
Ostale biljne vrste imaju ograničene dokaze o sigurnosti i učinkovitosti primjene.

Parallel abstract (English)
Menopause represents the end of physiological menstrual bleeding, or the end of women's reproductive age. It manifests with many vasomotor disturbances and psychological changes. In order to ease the symptoms of menopause, women resort to hormone replacement therapy, and recently, use of numerous herbal products. This paper reviews the literature on alternatives to plant estrogens for relief of menopausal symptoms. Scientific studies have shown that black cohosh appears to be one of the most effective botanicals for relief of vasomotor symptoms, while St. John's wort can improve mood disorders related to the menopausal transition. Many other botanicals have limited evidence to demonstrate safety and efficacy for relief of symptoms related to menopause.
