Abstract (english)	In acidic and neutral solutions, cystinedihydroxamic acid (H2L2+) binds ferric ion forming monomeric and dimeric complexes of 1:1, 2:2 and 2:3 metal to ligand stoichiometry. Comparison of the obtained equilibrium and spectral data for mono(cystinedihydroxamato) iron(III) with those of other hydroxamatoiron(III) complexes suggests the same mode of coordination. The Fe2L3 complex has been isolated and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectra.
