Abstract

Na području zapadne Moslavine koje je obuhvatilo ovo istraživanje sudjelovalo je devet ispitanika starosti između 61 i 86 godina čije je znanje o ljekovitosti bilja stečeno isključivo usmenom predajom. Ispitanici su sveukupno naveli 25 biljnih vrsta i jednu gljivu koje se koriste u narodnom liječenju ovog područja. Kao najčešće korištene vrste u liječenju navedeni su stolisnik, pelin, cikla, neven, dunja, kamilica, širokolisni trputac i čuvarkuća, a najmanje su korištene bujad, crveni luk, bršljan i puhara. Kao najčešće zdravstvene tegobe koje se liječilo ljekovitim biljnim pripravcima navedene su probavne smetnje, otekline, povišena tjelesna temperatura, upalna stanja te razni kožni problemi. Najčešći ljekoviti pripravci su čajevi (infuzi i dekokti), oblozi i razne iscrpine, a koristilo se svježe ili sušeno bilje. Usporedbom primjene biljnih pripravaka u tradicionalnom liječenju i dostupnih znanstvenih spoznaja, moguće je zaključiti da je empirijski pristup narodne medicine uvelike potvrđen suvremenim znanstvenim istraživanjima.

Abstract (english)

Traditional knowledge of medicinal plants uses was studied among the inhabitants of the several villages in the region of Western Moslavina in Zagreb County (Croatia). The study included 9 informants with age between 61and 86 years. Their knowledge about traditional usage of those herbs was exclusively gained from folk tradition. The most commonly listed herbal species used in this area were yarrow, wormwood, beet, marigold, quince, chamomile, broadleaf plantainand common houseleek. The most common applications used are tea (infusions and decoctions), wraps and various extracts. For preparation of these formulations fresh or dried herbs are used. Most of the remedies are related to the treatment of indigestion, swelling, fever, inflammatory conditions and various skin problems. Comparing the application of herbs in traditional medicine against the available scientific knowledge, it can be concluded that the use of most herbs stated from informants are scientifically validated and many species are being used in modern phytopharmacy.
