Abstract

Istraživanje je provedeno na listovima planike - Arbutus unedo L., skupljenim kroz 12 mjeseci tijekom 2013. godine u mjestu Božava na Dugom otoku. Tekućinskom kromatografijom visoke djelotvornosti (HPLC) provedena je kvalitativna i kvantitativna analiza ekstrakata listova. Kvalitativnom analizom utvrđena je prisutnost flavonoidnog aglikona kvercetina te fenolnih kiselina: klorogenske kiseline, kavene kiseline i p-kumarne kiseline tijekom cijele godine. Kvantitativna analiza je pokazala da količina kvercetina i fenolnih kiselina varira iz mjeseca u mjesec. Najveće količine kvercetina (10,74 mg/g), klorogenske kiseline (6,53 mg/g) i p-kumarne kiseline (6,59 mg/g) nađene su u listovima skupljenim u siječnju, a kavene kiseline u listovima skupljenim u kolovozu (0,96 mg/g). Najmanje količine kvercetina utvrđene su u listovima skupljenim u listopadu (0,48 mg/g), klorogenske kiseline u prosincu (0,83 mg/g), p-kumarne kiseline u svibnju (0,23 mg/g), a kavene kiseline u listopadu (0,64 mg/g).

Abstract (english)

This research was conducted using strawberry-tree leaves (Arbutus unedo L.) collected during twelve months in 2013 at Božava (the island of Dugi otok). Qualitative and quantitative analysis of extracts of the A. unedo leaves were performed using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Qualitative analysis detected the presence of quercetin (flavonoid aglycone), chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid and p-coumaric acid (phenolic acids). Contents of quercetin, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid and p-coumaric acid vary from month to month. The highest contents of quercetin (10.74 mg/g), chlorogenic acid (6.53 mg/g) and p-coumaric acid (6.59 mg/g) were found in leaves collected in January, whereas highest quantities of caffeic acid were found in leaves collected in August (0.96 mg/g). The lowest quantities of quercetin were found in leaves collected in October (0.48 mg/g), chlorogenic acid in December (0.83 mg/g), p-coumaric acid in May (0.23 mg/g) and caffeic acid in October (0.64 mg/g).
