Abstract

Cilj istraživanja
Cilj ovog specijalističkog rada je sveobuhvatan pregled znanstvenih spoznaja o biljnim anksioliticima koji se najčešće primjenjuju u ljekarničkoj praksi, posebice usmjerena na kliničke studije.
Materijali i metode
Istraživanje u okviru ovog rada je teorijskog karaktera i uključuje pregled dostupne znanstvene i stručne literature o predloženoj temi. U pretraživanju su korištene bibliografske baze podataka PubMed, Medline, Scopus, Science Direct i Cochrane Library.
Rezultati
Biljni pripravci koji sadrže droge Passiflorae herba, Valerianae radix i Rhodiolae roseae rhizoma et radix svrstavaju se među učinkovite biljne anksiolitike, s dobrim sigurnosnim profilom. Rezultati kliničkih istraživanja podupiru primjenu pasiflore kod generaliziranog anksioznog poremećaja, preoperativne anksioznosti, nesanice, poremećaja pažnje s hiperaktivnošću u djece i ovisnosti o opijatima. Ustanovljeno je da pripravci s odoljenom ili kombinirani pripravci povoljno djeluju kod nesanice, stresa, generaliziranog anksioznog poremećaja te nemira i disomnije u djece. Dobiveni su vrlo obećavajući rezultati koji ukazuju na potencijal ružičastog žednjaka za ublažavanje tegoba blage tjeskobe i blage do umjerene depresije te za poboljšanje cjelokupnog raspoloženja.
Zaključak
Iako klinička istraživanja podupiru primjenu pasiflore, odoljena i ružičastog žednjaka u suvremenoj fitoterapiji, potrebna su daljna klinička istraživanja koja će pružiti veću razinu dokaza o njihovom terapijskom potencijalu u liječenju anksioznih poremećaja.

Abstract (english)

Objectives
The aim of this research is to provide a comprehensive overview of the scientific knowledge on herbal anxiolytics most commonly used in pharmacy practice with a focus on clinical studies.
Materials and methods
Research in this paper is a theoretical one and includes a detailed overview of the available professional and scientific data on the topic. Relevant bibliographic database such as Current Contents, ScienceDirect, Scopus, PubMed, Medline and Cochrane Library were searched.
Results
Herbal preparations containing Passiflorae herba, Valerianae radix and Rhodiolae roseae rhizoma et radix are classified as effective herbal anxiolytics with a good safety profile. The results of clinical trials support the use of passionflower in generalized anxiety disorder, preoperative anxiety, insomnia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children and opiate dependence. It has been found that valerian has a beneficial effect on insomnia, stress, generalized anxiety disorder as well as restlessness and dysomnia in children. Very promising results were obtained for roseroot indicating its potential to alleviate the symptoms of mild anxiety, mild to moderate depression and to improve the overall mood.
Conclusion
Although clinical research supports the use of passionflower, valerian and roseroot in modern phytotherapy, further clinical studies are required to provide a higher level of evidence of therapeutic potential in the treatment of anxiety disorders.
