Abstract

Sunčeva svjetlost sastoji se od zračenja različitih valnih duljina, a to su ultraljubičasto, infracrveno
i vidljivo zračenje. Ultraljubičasto zračenje je podijeljeno u tri područja: UV-A, UV-B i UV-C. Za
razliku od UV-B zraka, koje prvenstveno prodiru u gornji sloj kože i djeluju kratkoročno, UV-A
zrake prodiru u dublje slojeve kože. Kako bi spriječila oštećenja uzrokovana suncem koža tamni i
postaje deblja. Na tržištu postoje brojni proizvodi za zaštitu od sunca s organskim i mineralnim
filtrima, koji učinkovito štite kožu od sunca. Pravilnim odabirom proizvoda i tehnike nanošenja,
kao i pridržavanja drugih mjera fotozaštite ljudi svih dobnih skupina mogu se zaštititi od sunca i
prevenirati akutna oštećenja, kao i ona koja nastaju dugoročnim i prekomjernim izlaganjem suncu.

Abstract (english)

Sunlight consists of radiation of different wavelenghts, which are ultraviolet, infrared and visible
radiation. Ultraviolet radiation comprises UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. Unlike the UV-B rays, which
penetrates into the upper layer of skin and acts short-term, the UV-A rays penetrate into deeper
layers of the skin. To prevent damage caused by sun, the skin tans and becomes thicker. There are
many sunscreen products on the market, which contain organic and mineral filters, which offer
effective protection from the sun. Proper product selection and application techniques, as well as
adhering to other photoprotection measures, people of all age groups can be protected from sun and
prevent acute damage, as well as damage created by long-term and excessive exposure to sunlight.
