Abstract

Cilj istraživanja: Cilj ovog rada je upoznavanje sa sastavom i određivanje pH
vrijednosti proizvoda namijenjenih čišćenju kože lica koji su dostupni u javnoj ljekarni.
Nastoji se odgovoriti na pitanje da li je sigurnost i namjena proizvoda u skladu s
njihovom deklaracijom. Izabrano je 29 komercijalno dostupnih proizvoda za čišćenje
kože lica. pH vrijednosti pripravaka određene su korištenjem pH metra. Svaki uzorak je
analiziran tri puta i rezultati su prikazani kao srednja vrijednost ± SD.
Materijali i metode: Deklarirani sastojci proizvoda obrađeni su prema
dostupnoj literaturi. Također je obrađena građa kože i prikazane su molekularne
interakcije površinski aktivnih tvari (PAT) i kože, koje nastaju tijekom procesa čišćenja.
Obrađen je utjecaj pH i sastava proizvoda za čišćenje na mogućnost izazivanja iritacije
kože nakon primjene. Na kraju je opisano ispitivanje sigurnosti proizvoda prije
stavljanja na tržište.
Rezultati rada: U ispitivanim proizvodima pH se kretao u rasponu od pH 4,67
do 6,43. Svi proizvodi, obzirom na pH zadovoljavaju kriterij kompatibilnosti s kožom i
svojim sastavom odgovaraju tipu kože kojem su namijenjeni. Tekući proizvodi za
čišćenje su najbolji izbor za čišćenje lica. Unutar kategorije tekućih proizvoda, najmanje
iritirajući proizvodi će sadržavati neionske površinski aktivne tvari u kombinaciji s
omekšivačima i tvarima s prijavljenim protuupalnim i antiiritirajućim svojstvima.
Zaključak: Proizvodi za čišćenje imaju značajan utjecaj na zdravlje i funkciju
kože. Odabir adekvatnog proizvoda je vrlo važan obzirom na stanje i tip kože. Jednako
je važno da ga ljekarnik može prema njegovom sastavu, preporučiti pacijentu. Dobri
proizvodi nisu karakterizirani mirisom, izgledom ili cijenom, već svojim sastavom. Oni
sadrže blage površinski aktivne tvari bez sapuna, zatim ovlaživače i omekšivače.

Abstract (english)

Objective: The aim of this paper is to get acquainted with the composition and to
determine the pH value of the products intended for cleansing the facial skin, which are
available at a public pharmacy. Efforts are being made to answer the question of
whether the safety and purpose of the products are in accordance with their declaration.
29 cosmetic products intended for facial cleansing that are available in a public
pharmacy. The pH values of the preparations were determined using a pH meter. Each
sample was analyzed three times and the results are presented as mean ± SD.
Method: The declared ingredients of a product have been processed according to
the available literature. The structure of the skin was also processed and molecular
interactions of surfactants (PAT) and skin, which occur during the cleansing process, are
presented. The effect of the pH and composition of the cleansing product on the ability
to cause skin irritation after application has been addressed. Finally, the product safety
test is described before being placed on the market.
Results: In the test products, the pH ranged from 4.67 to 6.43. All products, in
terms of pH, meet the criteria for compatibility with the skin and their composition is
appropriate to the type of skin for which they are intended. Liquid cleaning products are
the best choice for face cleaning. Within the category of liquid products, the least
irritating products will contain non-ionic surfactants in combination with softeners and
substances with reported anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant properties.
Conclusions: Cleaning products have a significant impact on the health and
function of the skin. Choosing the right product is very important given the condition
and skin type. It is equally important that the pharmacist can recommend it to the
patient according to its composition. Good products are not characterized by smell,
appearance or price, but by their composition. They contain mild surfactants without
soap, then moisturizers and softeners.
