Abstract

Cilj istraživanja:: Pacijenti stariji od 65 godina koji uzimaju visoke doze statina su najosjetljivija populacija za nastanak i razvoj nuspojava. Ovim radom se odredio točan broj pacijenata koji su najosjetljiviji za razvoj nuspojava statina u periodu 01.01.2015 – 31.12. 2015. godini u Hrvatskoj.
Metode: Rađena je retrospektivna studija o potrošnji statina kod pacijenata starijih od 65 godina u razdoblju od 01.01.2015 – 31.12. 2015. Studija je rađena na podacima HZZO (Hrvatskog zavoda za zdravstveno osiguranje) koje je jedino zdravstveno osiguranje u RH i pokriva više od 96% ukupne populacije. Statini uključeni u ispitivanje: statini registrirani u Republici Hrvatskoj 2015. godine. U istraživanje su bili uključeni svi osiguranici HZZO-a stariji od 65 godina koji su na terapiji visokim dnevnim dozama statina: simvastatin 40mg, rosuvastatin 40mg, atorvastatin 40mg, 60mg i 80mg, fluvastatin 80mg.
Rezultati: U 2015 godini potrošnja svih statina je bila 106,52 DID. Od svih pacijenata koji su na terapiji statinima, na terapiji visokim dozama statina je bilo 8% pacijenata koji su stariji od 65 godina. 60% je žena. U tom razdoblju najčešće su propisivane visoke doze atorvastatina, rosuvastatina i simvastatina.
Zaključak: Pacijenti stariji od 65 godina koji uzimaju visoke doze statina su najosjetljivija populacija za nastanak i razvoj nuspojava statina. Oni čine 17% svih starijih pacijenata na terapiji statinima. Na toj terapiji većinom su žene. Najčešće su propisivane visoke doze atorvastatina, rosuvastatina i simvastatina.

Abstract (english)

Objective: Patients older than 65 who take high doses of statins are the most sensitive population group for the onset and development of adverse effects. The objective of this study is to analyze the consumption of high-dose statins in this high-risk group of patients in Croatia in the period 01.01.2015-31.12.2015.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on the consumption of statins in patients older than 65 in the period from 1 January, 2005 to 31 December, 2015. The study was based on the data obtained from the Croatian Institute for Health Insurance, which is the only health insurance in the Republic of Croatia, and covers over 96% of the total population. The statins included in the study were the statins registered in the Republic of Croatia from 1 January, 2005 to 31 December, 2015. The study included all the insured patients registered at HZZO aged over 65 who were receiving high daily doses of the statins.
Results: In the 2015 year the consumption of all statins was 106,52 DID.
Patients older than 65 who were receiving high doses of statins were 8% of the total number of patients receiving statin therapy. 60% of patients were women.
In the studied period the most commonly used high-dose statins were atorvastatin, rosuvastatin and simvastatin.
Conclusion: Patients older than 65 who receive high doses of statins are the most sensitive population group for the onset and development of adverse effects of statins. They were 17% of the total number of patients older than 65 receiving statin therapy.
Patients who received that therapy are predominantly women.
The most commonly used high-dose statins were atorvastatin, rosuvastatin and simvastatin.
