Abstract

Peptidni kozmeceutici su relativno nove tvari koje se koriste u liječenju raznih stanja kože. Tri su glavne skupine peptidnih kozmeceutika: peptidi koji moduliraju signalne puteve, peptidi koji moduliraju neurotransmitore i peptidi koji moduliraju prijenosne nosače. Iako njihove prednosti trenutno nisu strogo ispitane, dokazi o njihovoj upotrebi u stalnom su porastu. Postoji značajan broj potencijalno aktivnih peptidnih tvari koje se mogu koristiti u proizvodima za njegu kože, posebno uzimajući u obzir brojne peptidne aktivne tvari koje su kao sirovina dostupne za izradu kozmetičkih proizvoda. Omjer cijene i učinkovitosti kozmetičkog proizvoda ključan je čimbenik njegovog uspješnog oblikovanja. Sukladno tome ograničavajući čimbenik korištenja pojedinog peptida pri oblikovanju kozmetičkog proizvoda je primjeren odnos isplativosti i potrebnog udjela peptida u kozmetičkom proizvodu te reproducibilnog učinaka takvog peptidnog kozmeceutika.

Abstract (english)

Peptide cosmeceuticals are one of the new, popular options to treat different skin conditions. There are three main categories of cosmeceutical peptides: signal peptides, neurotransmitter-affecting peptides and carrier peptides. Although their benefits currently may not be as rigorously tested, the evidence to support their use is growing. The potential for bioactive peptide ingredients in skin care products is enormous, especially when you consider the diverse assortment of molecules available to the cosmetic formulator today. The cost-benefit ratio is key in this area, and the balance of economics, peptide concentration and, reproducible, stable, deliverable bioactivity, will be the key driver for the success of each peptide on an individual basis.
