Abstract

U okviru ovog rada provedena su fitokemijska ispitivanja na vrstama roda Globularia L. koje rastu na području Hrvatske. Provedene fitokemijske reakcije u epruveti na metanolnim ekstraktima i praškastom biljnom materijalu vrsta Globularia alypum, Globularia cordifolia, Globularia meridionalis i Globularia punctata utvrdile su prisutnost flavonoida, trjeslovina, fenolnih kiselina,
iridoida, triterpena, antocijana u tragovima te manjih količina saponina. Metodom tankoslojne kromatografije detektirani su flavonoidi apigenin, apigenin 7-O-glukozid te luteolin 7-O-glukozid, a kod vrste G. punctata prisutan je i rutin. Također je dokazano da od svih ispitivanih vrsta G. punctata sadrži najveći broj flavonoida. Tankoslojnom kromatografijom detektirani su i iridoidi, i to katalpol kod vrsta G. alypum i G. punctata, aukubin kod vrsta G. cordifolia i G. meridionalis te asperulozid kod vrsta G. cordifolia, G. meridionalis i G. punctata. Tankoslojnom kromatografijom utvrđena je prisutnost derivata kavene i klorogenske kiseline te verbaskozida u svim ispitivanim vrstama roda Globularia. Ovakva preliminarna istraživanja bitna su jer otkrivaju ljekoviti potencijal nedovoljno istraženih biljnih vrsta koje rastu na području Hrvatske. Vrsta G. alypum otprije je poznata u narodnoj medicini, između ostalog, kao hipoglikemik, laksativ, purgativ i kolagog.

Abstract (english)

Within this study phytochemical tests were carried out on species of the Globularia L. genus growing on Croatian territory. Phytochemical reactions conducted in test tubes on methanolic extracts and powdered plant material of Globularia alypum, Globularia cordifolia, Globularia meridionalis and Globularia punctata species identified the presence of flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, iridoids, triterpenes, anthocyanins in traces and minor amounts of saponins. Thin layer chromatography detected the apigenin, apigenin 7-O-glucoside and luteolin 7-O-glucoside flavonoids. Rutin was detected within G. punctata species. G. punctata was also proven to contain the highest amount of flavonoids among all tested species. Thin layer chromatography detected also iridoids,catalpol within G. alypum and G. punctata species, aucubin within G. cordifolia and
G. meridionalis species and asperuloside within G. cordifolia, G. meridionalis and G. punctata species. Thin layer chromatography determined the presence of caffeic and chlorogenic acid derivatives and verbascoside in all tested species from the Globularia genus. This type of preliminary research is important because they reveal the medicinal potential of under-researched plant species that grow on Croatian territory. The species G. alypum has been known in folk medicine, among other things, as a hypoglycemic agent, laxative, purgative and cholagogue.
