Abstract

Zbog brojnih nuspojava postojeće terapije u prevenciji kardiovaskularnih bolesti i sve većeg broja smrtnosti od srčanog
i moždanog udara u razvijenim zemljama, teži se pronalasku učinkovitijih i sigurnijih lijekova. Od samih početaka, ljudi
su se okretali prirodi u potrazi za rješenjima. Brojna istraživanja su pokazala da spojevi izolirani iz prirodnih izvora
poput polifenola pokazaju značajnu dobrobit za zdravlje pa tako i antiagregacijski učinak kao bitnu poveznicu u
prevenciji kardiovaskularnih bolesti. Trombociti imaju glavnu ulogu u hemostazi i trombozi.
Metodom impedancijske agregometrije, prema generičkoj proceduri proizvođača instrumenta Multiplate® Analyzer,
ispitivan je antiagregacijski učinak na deset uzoraka ekstrakata ispitivanih biljaka porodice Lamiaceae uz ADP kao
induktora agregacije. Rezultati su iskazani kao minimalna antiagregacijska koncentracija (MINaAC) koja statistički
značajno smanjuje agregaciju u odnosu na negativnu kontrolu. Za dokazivanje pojedinih sastavnica ekstrakata biljaka
korištena je LC-MS metoda.
Vrijednosti MINaAC kretale su se između 0,02 µM za Ocimum basilicum do 206,79 µM za Lavandula sp. Ocimum
basilicum je pokazao najjači antiagregacijski učinak.
Biljni ekstrakti bogati polifenolima koji pokazuju antiagregacijski učinak mogli bi doprinijeti prevenciji
kardiovaskularnih bolesti.

Abstract (english)

Due to the various side effects of the existing therapy in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and the increasing
number of deaths from cardiac arrest and stroke in developed countries, the goal is to find safer and more effective
therapy. From the very beginning, people turned to nature in order to find solution for health issues. Numerous studies
have shown that compounds isolated from natural sources, such as polyphenols, show significant health benefits and
thus anti-aggregation effect as an essential link in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Thrombocytes play a major
role in hemostasis and thrombosis.
By the method of impedance agregometry, according to the generic procedure of the producer of the Multiplate®
analyzer instrument, the antiaggregation effect was investigated on ten samples of Lamiaceae family tested extracts with
ADP as the inductance aggregator. The results are shown as the minimum anti-aggregation concentration (MINaAC),
which statistically significantly reduces aggregation. The LC-MS method was used to identify the plant extracts
components.
MINaAC values ranged between 0,02 μM for Ocimum basilicum to 206,79 μM for Lavandula sp. The final results
showed that Ocimum basilicum had the strongest anti-aggregation effect.
Plant extracts rich in polyphenols that show antiaggregating properties could be used in prevention of cardiovascular
diseases.
