Abstract

Sjemenke crnog kima Nigella sativa, L. se već dugi niz godina upotrebljavaju u tradicionalnoj medi-cini. Provedena pretklinička i klinička ispitivanja ukazuju na terapijski potencijal crnog kima koji se pripisuje njegovim antikarcinogenim, antimikrobnim i antioksidativnim učincima te mnogobroj-nim protektivnim djelovanjima na organe našeg sustava. Crni kim se pokazao korisnim kod tegoba dišnog sustava, atopijskog dermatitisa, pretilosti, anksioznosti, osteoartritisa, akni vulgaris, jetrenih i želučanih tegoba te mnogih drugih. Za spomenute, kao i za druge indikacije još uvijek nije postig-nuta zadovoljavajuća razina kliničkih dokaza, tako da u zemljama Europske unije pripravci crnog kima nisu registrirani kao biljni lijekovi, nego samo kao dodaci prehrani. Danas se preparati crnog kima mogu naći u ljekarnama i specijaliziranim prodavaonicama, a najčešče dolaze u obliku ulja, kapsula i masti.

Abstract (english)

Black cumin seeds Nigella sativa, L. have been used in traditional medicine for many years. Pre-clinical and clinical studies have been conducted to indicate the therapeutic potential of black cumin attributed to its anticarcinogenic, antimicrobial and antioxidant effects and numerous protection ef-fects on the organs of our system. Black cumin has proven useful in respiratory problems, atopic dermatitis, obesity, anxiety, osteoarthritis, acne vulgaris, liver and stomach difficulties and many others. For mentioned, as well as for other indications, a satisfactory level of clinical evidence has not yet been achieved, so in the countries of the European Union, black cumin preparations are not registered as herbal medicines, but only as dietary supplements. Today, black cumin preparations can be found in pharmacies and specialized stores, mostly in the form of oils, capsules and ointments.
